13. June 2nd, 2005 [14:22 hrs] The final exam is on Monday June 6th at 11:30am in CENTER 217A. Pl. go thru the "Cheat Sheet" I made for you containing Equations, identities and constant   you may need in the 4E final exam. You may not bring your own cheat sheet.

12.  May 16, 2005:  Quiz 3 is available for pick up at the Student Affairs Window  in the Urey Hall Annex.

11. May 15, 2005 [11:00 hrs] : Quiz 4 will be on Friday 27th May. Quiz 5 wil be on Friday June 3rd.

10.  May 2, 2005:  Quiz 2 is available for pick up at the Student Affairs Window  in the Urey Hall Annex.

9.  April 20, 2005:  Jason Wright's office has changed.  His new office is 4230 Mayer Hall.  Office hours will continue to be held in the tutorial center, 2101 Mayer Hall.

8.  April 18, 2005:  Quiz 1 is graded, and the results are posted in the quiz grades section of the website.  Bluebooks are available for pick-up at the Student Affairs Window in the Urey Hall Annex.

7. April 13, 2005:  There will be no problem session on Thursday April 21st.  Instead students are encouraged to attend the lecture of 2004 Nobel Prize winner David Gross titled "The Future of Physics".  It is at 4:00pm at the Liebow Auditorium in the Basic Science Building.  Refreshments will be available starting at 3:30pm.  If you would like help with the homework for that week, email jwright@physics.ucsd.edu and he will set up a time to go over the homework with you.

 

6. April 6, 2005  [21:20 hrs] As of this afternoon, the textbook is now available at the bookstore. I have asked that 15 copies be reserved  exclusively for 4E students. To purchase the book go the textbook purchase counter and identify yourself as a 4E student. The first quiz is on April 11th.

 

5. April 1, 2005 [10:50 hrs] This message is no joke!

The Makeup class (as needed) on Tuesday will be held in CNTR 201 at 10 am. The regular Tuesday class will continue to be held in SOLIS at 9am.

There will be a lecture on Monday 4th, 2 lectures on Tuesday 5th and on Wed and Friday.

4.  The website given in the lecture slides for discussion about Millikan's oil drop experiment is incorrect.  The correct website is:  www.whfreeman.com/modphysics4e

3. After a discussion in class, the makeup lecture times will be Tuesdays @11am in location TBA.
